Je deteste MTN

I hate MTN they're fucking crap. I hate MTN they're fucking crap. I hate MTN they're fucking crap. I hate MTN they're fucking crap. I hate MTN they're fucking crap. I hate MTN they're fucking crap. I hate MTN they're fucking crap. I hate MTN they're fucking crap. I hate MTN they're fucking crap. I hate MTN they're fucking crap. I hate MTN they're fucking crap. I hate MTN they're fucking crap. I hate MTN they're fucking crap. I hate MTN they're fucking crap....

Now I've got that Jack Nicholson moment off of my chest I can tell you why: they are a rent-seeking non-innovative non-customer friendly bunch of jokers. They can't even design a scratch card that doesn't snarl up so you lose the numbers (and get your finger nails dirty in the process); they have yet to implement a user-friendly GPRS service (you have to enter all kinds of bullshit codes into your phone to get the fucker to work) - let alone 3G. Their adverts are inane and thoughtless. And to upgrade to post-paid, you have to give them a photocopy of your passport. They are an utterly utterly useless company - in Nigeria at least.

Why are they this bad? I think its because when they started they were milking the market like oil barons - charging thousands of naira for sim cards, hiring repat Nigerians and paying them bucketloads and sticking them in expensive VI accommodation. So its a bit like asking the fat spoilt child to do well at athletics at his new school - its going to end in tears..

And for their 5th year anniversary they offered cheap calls from 12:30am to 4:30am....Do they think people in Nigeria are witches and wizards?

Might be a good offer if you make booty calls

I am not in a position to speak on MTN really because I have never used an MTN line. But U makes use of one, and getting her can be a drag. Have to get her a Vee line or something before I move for me MSc...

Good rant. MTN is crap!! And just like daf wrote, their anniversary thingy was thoughtless! And they treat their Nigerian staff very badly.

MTN is crap in most of Africa. That's why they can't compete with Vodacom in South Africa. And they went ahead to sign some contract with the King of Swaziland which grants them a monopoly. No other service provider! Now, everybody in Swaziland is bound to crappy MTN.

Ditto on MTN! I involuntarily had to start using Glo while I lost my MTN phone, though I still retained the line. All the time between when I had to get another phone for the MTN line, I fell in love with Glo services and it has been that way, since. It's hard for me to get rid of the line because of how ridiculously much it cost me during their early days in Nigeria.

Thanks - a public forum to lambast MTN - they are worse than crap, they are rude and arrogant and they should be pushed to the sea. the other day, I couldn't down load credit for 2 days. keep having to go to the biz centre to make calls.

why don't we just boycott them? I have got a glo line now and that is what I use for all my outgoing calls. MTN is just for receiving. they are not getting my money again.

Hurray, others are now seeing the light. i invite you guys to Glo with pride!
