I can't see the creativity in this...awful and distasteful!

these images are powerful...good thing his original idea of capturing actual nollywood sets failed....this is an incredible take on some of the paranormal storylines of nollywood films.

Does Nollywood evoke images of horror for the artist? That is, he feels the content and performances are horrific?

I failed to see the "art" in most of the pics. Most i found tasteless and exploitative. Maybe it is just me.

I find his interpretations very interesting. I mean, isn't that what nollywood is about? Eveything extreme? Well, he definitely took it there. Yeah....he should have pushed it even further though...sex, blood, money...

I would have put a naked woman with blood all over her, and a dirty carton of dirty, stained money beside her...and then a cut penis hanging by a string in the the middle of the room...

Yeah, I am feeling this, man..

Waffy, I hail!!!!!!! This idea is Fucking Awesooooooooome.

In my head and around me 9:50 am

Totally disgusting. Not even for the sake of art should this be done. However, it does depict what one sees in Nigerian movies.

I recognise that hand!

This is BRILLIANT. SA is light years away from Nigeria. This exhibition could NEVER be shown here, and paradoxically, these are images based on images from nigerian films... i mean in the way that rome denounces madonnas use of the crucifixion imagery/christ, you would expect some protest, but my art lovin' establishment would be burned down and i'd be branded the antichrist or at least demon posessed if i dared hang these wonderful pictures. ( i dont think the art is so hot, what i loove is the sets and the staging of the pictures- its fantastic). i wish this post had a more provocative title to tempt (c'mon, i know there's a demon within you to be able to do this)people to actually click on the link and look at the pictures)
