Study Yoruba at IFE this summer

Fulbright scholarship to study Yoruba at Ife (what better place?) from June 20 to August 12th. Click here for all the details. Shame its only open for American students - otherwise I'd be there.

Well spotted. I have a flyer for this year's event but its a pdf so I can't upload it. The dates and contact details are exactly the same. Application deadline is Feb 28th 2008.

I only understand a little, and speak very little, but I like the sound of the language, and will make serious attempt to learn it. (I'm not Yoruba, but that doesn't stop me from passing a favourable comment in their direction). Problem is if you are not in Nigeria, the US or UK, it's a whole lot more difficult. "Mo gbodo ede Yoruba". :-)

I love your matter-of-fact, non-judgmental approach to issues. Especially to what is fast becoming a scourge in this country: the psuedo-prostitution. It's so normal now, it's scary.
