Malali quarry

Today I visited a quarry in Kaduna. Tens of thousands of people work in the quarries in Kaduna State alone. Most spend 12 hours a day, every day, crushing rocks with a small hammer. Its a tough job, but at least it creates employment in the state..

oga jeremy, thanks for posting this. This is very insightful. Where are sahara reporters and 234next, this is what they should be doing.

Wow! I know this place....it's just round the corner from where my Aunt & Uncle lived. Haven't been to Malali in a while, so the pictures do bring back memories.

omd!! thanks for posting this. this picture brings back so many memories, my secondary school in kaduna (Zamani College) overlooked the quarry. I remember lots of lessons spent daydreaming, watching the workers on the quarry.
