Ngugi Wa Thiongo

Interview with Frank Bures, here (from the latest Africa Report) - PDF download.

Waffarian 12:19 am much as I love his dedication to linguistics...I am sure he understands the primal need to survive...

Yeah, we do have the audience...but how do you get the books to them when publishers are not willing to publish those books?

In many countries, people would rather read in their native language...their authors are more popular than the translated works...but I doubt if we in Africa are at that stage yet..

But who knows? as he said, new generations of writers...and why the hell do we(yes oh, i dey count myself join) always have to be the "ideological voice"? Can't the engineers take up that challenge for once?
