Interview with Jeroen van der Veer, Chief Exec of Shell, here. One wonders how the oil-producing states can honestly account for the billions of dollars they receive, given the state of places like Yenagoa and Port Harcourt.

They cannot, period. It is as simple as that. When people scream marginalization in Nigeria, they conveniently ignore the fact that they were the ones who went out to welcome Alameyeisgha-madman upon his release from jail.

A good % of the peopel in Lagos today are from the Delta. Economic 'refugees', a product of the open embezzlement in the Delta. Instead of speaking up against embezzlement at that level, they only blame the federal government. :-)

The Delta is doomed!

"The Delta is doomed!"

As is the whole of Nigeria!

Embezzlement of public funds is not the exclusive preserve of the Delta top echelon. It is a nationwide syndrome.
