“POWER……..I find myself returning once again to that favourite subject of all ages. Here in our dear country we are all witnesses to the foibles that is power. It has left a lot of people wondering what has gone wrong!
Nothing has gone wrong… there is nothing that we are doing that is novel. Anything you see here has been done elsewhere before and even worse………Name it ….. the third term syndrome, tyranny, fuel scarcity, treachery of the worst kinds, murder, assassinations……we are all in familiar territory.
It is my hope and belief that in this play which we are presenting in collaboration with the French Cultural Centre, you will see redeeming situations in our own landscape.
Power……feel it, taste it, possess it, acquire it…..love it…….study it…….it never makes sense.”

Patrick-Jude Oteh
Director
